Attention all students who want to work in museums, and all museums who want students as interns or volunteers! The Museums Appreciation Society is holding a Heritage Careers Fair on Monday the 3rd of September, this event hopes to introduce students from a wide range of career opportunities available in the museum and gallery sectors.
The event comprises of two parts; a market stall staffed by museum professionals from institutions such as the National Trust and Museums Australia (to name but a few) and a speakers panel lasting from 12:30 to 2PM, giving students the chance to hear about what sector professionals are up to in the museum world and to ask them questions.
A book stall is also being held in conjunction with the Fair from material donated from the museum community. Money raised will go towards the group’s annual donation to museum based charities.
Interested in taking part?
The event is free for the whole community to attend. If you are from a museum, gallery or heritage based business or society and would like to take part please contact Stephanie at firstname.lastname@example.org . There are still a few spaces left. Any donations to the book stall are also welcome.
