It has been a pleasure to read, edit and write about our impressions and interpretations of what art means to us on a personal level. As is our custom, we have toured the world via our contributors – stories from Morocco, France, Hungary, Norway and back to the Antipodes are sure to capture our attention. The theme of Modern art and specific artists is examined as well as a thought-provoking essay of the perception of Beauty over the centuries. We have the interesting viewpoint of an art teacher and artist who has lived through the changes in art appreciation and teaching in the NSW school system. Our paintings by Picasso demonstrate his changing style over the years, which brings us to the topic of our next issue, Summer 2012-2013, which will have the intriguing topic of ‘Change is in the Air’ – a pertinent topic for Museum Studies students who have had to confront the changes in the study program. We trust that you will be reassured by Andrew’s article. Our previous issue welcomed articles from four students who have also contributed to the current issue and we look forward to their continued participation as well as welcoming on board new student authors.
